The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the results of the preliminary examination on Monday, 12, October, 2015. The prelims was taken on 23, August, 2015. “The civil services (preliminary) result 2015 had been declared by UPSC today at 9:00 pm,” read the following article on our webpage.  The candidates can check their results from the official website of the UPSC.

The prestigious exam was held to recruit IAS, IPS and IFS officers. This exam is conducted annually by the UPSC in three stages named as preliminary, mains and interview. The qualified candidates can write the UPSC IAS (Main) exam 2015, which is scheduled to be held on 18, December, 2015.

While the interview is expected to be held in the last week of April 2016, and its final results might be announced on the first week of June 2016. Last year, 1,236 candidates were recommended for appointment in civil services. Four of the top five rank holders were girls.

UPSC IAS Prelims News – Mains Exam Date delayed by UPSC

The Union Public Service Commission conducts the civil services examination in three phases- the preliminary exam, mains and an interview round. Clearing all three rounds makes the candidates eligible for the posts of Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and Indian Police Service (IPS), amongst others.

As against a record number of 9,45,908 candidates who have applied for the exam, about 4.63 lakh had sat in the test on the above specify date, which is about 49 per cent of the total applicants. Over 15,000 people have qualified in this year’s civil services preliminary examination. the results was declared on Monday by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). “A total of 15,008 candidates have qualified in the preliminary examination,” UPSC Secretary Ashim Khurana told PTI.

It is been said that the UPSC Civil Services exam that was scheduled to be notified on 18, December, 2015 has been postponed. The authorities have not provided any reason for the postponement of the date of issuing the notification regarding delaying of Mains Exam Date.  The official site of UPSC simply states that, “The Civil Services Examination, 2015, which was scheduled to be notified on 18, December, 2015 might be postponed. The revised date of notification will be intimated in due course.
