Reserve Bank of India {RBI} will be taking the recruitment test to fill up 163 empty post of Grade “B” officers. The submission of online application form are still on the go. Soon the submission procedure will be ended. The exam will be held in few month. So, your left with not that much time for your preparation.

To crack any competitive exam is not an easy task that too a exam of RBI. It is going to very tough to crack this test, so you all have to get your preparation started from now. Those who about to sit in the upcoming RBI recruitment exam are required to familiar themselves with the exam pattern. As, it is important for an aspirant to know about the exam pattern. It enable them to get to know about how many questions will be asked from each section??? is there any penalty for wrong answer or not??? Total number of questions??? Time duration and many more. So, here we suggest you all to familiar yourself with the exam pattern of RBI before writing the test. This would help you out to prepare yourself well and your might score well too if you do hard-work. Prepare according to the given exam pattern because questions will be asked from the given topics only.

RBI Selection Process

Tier – I : Objective Written Examination

This Objective Written Examination will be of  two-hour examination, having 200 questions. For each correct answer, contenders will be awarded with +1 mark and for each incorrect answer there will be a penalty of -0.25. There is no penalty for unanswered questions. One more important thing you all need to know that Tier – I examination marks will not be considered as the final score, so it is merely a qualifying examination.

NOTE :- The minimum aggregate cut-off marks for Phase-II will be decided by the Board in relation to the number of vacancies.

Phase-II examinations will consist of three papers in MCQ pattern (except Paper-I) – viz.

  1. Paper-I – English (writing skills)
  2. Paper-II – Economic & Social Issues
  3. Paper-III – (optional subjects) – Finance & Management/ Economics/ Statistics.

Things to be remembered :- 

  • All the papers must be attended by contenders
  • Only contestants of Phase-I will appear for Phase-II examination on a later date.
  • Based on the results of Phase-II examinations candidates will be shortlisted for interview.

(vii) Final selection will be through merit lists which will be prepared by adding marks secured by candidates in Phase-II (Paper-I + Paper-II + Paper-III) and Interview.

Duration of Examinations and Distribution of Marks

Phase-I : Objective Type – 2 hours – 200 marks

Phase-II: Three Papers – 300 marks

  • Paper-I – online- English-( writing skills)- 1½ hours – 100 marks
  • Paper-II – Economic and Social Issues – 1½ hours – 100 marks
  • Paper-III – Optional Paper (Finance & Management/ Economics/ Statistics) – 1½ hours – 100 marks

(iii) Interview: 50 marks
